Dallas is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Dallas is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Loved this place. We ordered the sampler appetizer and it was really good. I also loved the Thai tea, coconut soup and the softshell crab dish. Our server was very attentive and sweet. And I thought the establishment was really cute, well decorated and had a nice relaxing atmosphere. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

This establishment is easily one of the most underrated Thai spots in town, offering exceptional cuisine without the hassle of a long wait. I stopped by for a weekend lunch and was immediately impressed by the spotless, inviting atmosphere and the warm, attentive staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The walk-in process is completely seamless with no reservations required, making it an stress-free option for weekend dining. We ordered the Corn Patties, Red Tofu Curry paired with Fried Rice, and the Basil Noodles with Tofu, and every single dish exceeded expectations. The corn patties were perfectly crisp and flavorful, while the main courses showcased rich, fragrant seasonings and fresh ingredients. For those who appreciate real heat, I highly recommend asking for the 5 Spice levelβ€”it delivers a fantastic, authentic kick without sacrificing the depth of flavor. Between the pristine environment, top-tier hospitality, and outstanding dishes, this gem deserves far more recognition, and I will definitely be returning.

Banana Leaf Thai Restaurant in Dallas offers a well-rounded Thai dining experience with several standout dishes and a few minor flavor imbalances. The ambiance is inviting and comfortable, making it a nice spot for a relaxed meal with family or friends. We started with the corn patties, which were nicely prepared with a good texture, but the flavor leaned more toward sweet than the traditional salty-sour balance typically expected in Thai cuisine. While still enjoyable, a bit more tang or spice would have elevated the dish further. On the other hand, the lemongrass lettuce wraps were exceptionalβ€”fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. The balance of herbs and seasoning in this dish really stood out and made it one of our favorites. For the main course, we tried the pad prik king stir fry. The dish had a rich and authentic flavor profile, but it was slightly on the salty side when eaten on its own. However, when paired with rice, it balanced out perfectly and became much more enjoyable. The basil fried rice was excellent, with just the right amount of seasoning and aroma, making it both comforting and satisfying. The pad kee mao (drunken noodles) was another highlightβ€”perfectly cooked n

We enjoyed the food & authenticity. We wish the spice levels were a little more accurate. We both ordered 3 out of 5 spice for both our Red Curry & Crab Fried Rice. However it felt more like a 1 or maybe 2. Overall, the flavor of the food was delicious! Crab Fried Rice, Red Curry Salmon, Appetizer Sampler haf delicious wings & dumplings. And the crispy cheesecake with ice cream was good. The thai coffee ice cream was the key to that dish tho.

This place truly captures the heart of Thai flavors! From the moment you walk in, the cozy wooden tables and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a great dining experience. We started with the Chicken Satay, perfectly grilled and served with creamy peanut sauce and a refreshing cucumber relish β€” a beautiful balance of savory and tangy. The Orange Chicken was crisp, tender, and coated in a bright, flavorful glaze that paired wonderfully with steamed rice and fresh veggies. The Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) was another highlight β€” wide rice noodles tossed with chicken and vegetables in a rich, aromatic sauce that had just the right kick. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of authentic taste. The staff was attentive, and the ambiance felt warm and inviting β€” ideal for both casual meals and date nights. Highly recommended for anyone craving fresh, flavorful Thai food in Carrollton. You’ll leave satisfied and already planning your next visit!
